Spiegazione

Il past continuous dice cosa stava succedendo in un momento del passato: At 9 p.m. I was doing my homework.
Si usa per descrivere la scena di una storia: The sun was shining and the birds were singing.
Si forma con was / were + verbo + -ing.
Negativa: wasn’t / weren’t + -ing. ❓ Domanda: What were you doing?
L’azione lunga va al past continuous, quella breve che la interrompe al past simple.
I was walking home when I saw an accident.
While (mentre) unisce due azioni lunghe: While Mum was cooking, Dad was reading.
