Spiegazione

Comparativo di maggioranza

Aggettivi monosillabici e bisillabi in -y: + -er (+ than). Altri bisillabi e polisillabi: more + aggettivo (+ than). Alcuni bisillabi accettano entrambe le forme (clever, narrow, quiet).

Comparativo di minoranza e di uguaglianza

less + aggettivo + than: This film is less exciting than the book.
as + aggettivo + as: Sara is as tall as Marco. Negativo: not as / so… as: It isn’t as cold as yesterday.

Superlativo

the + aggettivo-est / the most + aggettivo; superlativo di minoranza the least: the least expensive. Dopo il superlativo: in + luogo/gruppo (the longest river in the world), of + periodo/numero (the best day of the year). Con il present perfect: the best film I have ever seen (in terza!).

Ortografia e irregolari

large → larger; happy → happier; thin → thinner, the thinnest. ⭐ good/better/best; bad/worse/worst; far/further/furthest; little/less/least; much-many/more/most.
